Garage61

Garage61 is the primary data source for B4Racing, providing comprehensive telemetry data from your racing sessions.

What is Garage61

Garage61 is a telemetry platform that captures and stores data from racing simulators. It works with iRacing, Assetto Corsa Competizione, and other simulators to record:

  • Complete session data
  • Lap-by-lap telemetry
  • Car and track metadata

If you don't have a Garage61 account yet, sign up here and install the client to start recording your sessions.

What Data Does B4Racing Access

When you authorize B4Racing, we can read the following from your Garage61 account:

Session Data

  • Session list: All your recorded sessions
  • Session details: Date, duration, car, track
  • Lap count: Total laps, clean laps, invalid laps

Lap Data

  • Lap times: Individual and sector times
  • Best lap: Fastest clean lap
  • Consistency metrics: Lap time variation

Telemetry Channels

High-frequency telemetry data (typically 60 Hz):

How Authentication Works

B4Racing uses OAuth 2.0 to securely connect to your Garage61 account.

Connecting Your Account

  1. Start a conversation at b4rt.b4mad.racing
  2. Ask about your sessions (e.g., "Show me my recent sessions")
  3. Click the authorization link provided
  4. Log in to Garage61 and approve access
  5. Return to the chat—you're connected!

What We Can and Can't Do

We CAN:

  • Read your session data
  • Read your lap times
  • Read your telemetry data

We CANNOT:

  • Modify any of your data
  • Access your account settings
  • Delete sessions
  • Share your data with anyone

Revoking Access

To disconnect B4Racing from your Garage61 account:

  1. Log in to Garage61
  2. Go to Settings > Connected Applications
  3. Find B4Racing and click "Revoke Access"

Token Security

  • Access tokens are short-lived (2 hours) and refresh automatically
  • Refresh tokens are rotated on each use for added security
  • You only need to re-authorize after extended inactivity (weeks)

B4Racing handles all token management automatically. You don't need to do anything.

What You Can Ask About

Once connected, you can ask B4Racing about any of your Garage61 data:

  • "Show me my sessions at Spa"
  • "Analyze my Ferrari GT3 sessions from last week"
  • "What's my best lap at Monza?"
  • "Show me telemetry for Turn 5"
  • "Give me a track heatmap of my fastest lap"

Troubleshooting

"No sessions found"

  • Verify you have sessions recorded in Garage61
  • Check that Garage61 has finished syncing (new sessions appear within minutes)
  • Try a broader query: "What sessions do I have?"

"Authorization failed"

  • Make sure you're logged into the correct Garage61 account
  • Try clearing your browser cache and authorizing again
  • If issues persist, contact support

Data isn't showing recent sessions

Garage61 syncs data from your simulator. New sessions typically appear within minutes of completing a race or practice. If data is delayed:

  • Check that the Garage61 client is running
  • Verify your session finished uploading in Garage61's web interface
