Connecting Your Data

B4Racing needs access to your racing telemetry to provide insights. We use Garage61 as the primary data source—a platform that captures telemetry from iRacing, ACC, and other simulators.

What You Need

  1. A Garage61 account with recorded sessions
  2. Access to B4Racing at b4rt.b4mad.racing

If you don't have a Garage61 account yet, sign up at garage61.net and sync some sessions from your simulator.

Connecting via Chat

When you first ask B4Racing to analyze your data, the chatbot will guide you through OAuth authentication:

  1. Start a conversation - Ask something like "Show me my recent sessions"
  2. Click the authorization link - B4Racing will provide a link to Garage61
  3. Approve access - Log in to Garage61 and authorize B4Racing to read your driving data
  4. Return to chat - You're now connected and can start analyzing

The authorization is stored securely. You won't need to reconnect unless you explicitly revoke access.

What We Access

When you authorize B4Racing, we can read:

  • Session metadata - Date, track, car, lap count
  • Lap times - Individual lap and sector times
  • Telemetry data - Speed, throttle, brake, steering (60 Hz)
  • Track position - GPS coordinates for racing line analysis

We cannot:

  • Modify any of your Garage61 data
  • Access your account settings or payment info
  • Share your data with third parties

See Data Sources for complete transparency on how we handle your data.

Revoking Access

To disconnect B4Racing from your Garage61 account:

  1. Log in to Garage61
  2. Go to Settings > Connected Applications
  3. Find B4Racing and click "Revoke Access"

Troubleshooting

Make sure you're asking a question that requires data access, like "Show my sessions" or "Analyze my last lap at Spa". General questions won't trigger the OAuth flow.

"Authorization failed"

  • Ensure you're logged into the correct Garage61 account
  • Check that you have at least one recorded session
  • Try clearing your browser cache and authorizing again

"No sessions found after connecting"

This usually means:

  • Your Garage61 account has no synced sessions
  • Sessions haven't finished uploading yet
  • You're searching for a track/car that doesn't match your data

Try asking "What sessions do I have?" to see all available data.

Next Steps

Once connected:

  1. Start your first analysis - Have a conversation about your racing data
